Enactment Control in Interact/Intermediate

چکیده

Interact/Intermediate supports goal-directed process modeling in such a way as to maximize the concurrency of activities and to minimize the direct control of humans in the process. In this context, there are three di erent and interacting loci of control which we illustrate and discuss with an example: an implicit, internal locus of control; an external, arbitrary locus of control; and an explicit, internal locus of control.

Activity in motor areas while remembering action events.

Episodic memory for simple commands is better following enacted than verbal encoding. This has been proposed to be due to the possibility to base retrieval on motor information. Here we used PET to test the hypothesis that motor brain areas show increased retrieval-related activity following enacted compared to verbal encoding. Brain activity was also monitored during retrieval after imaginary ...

Organizing for the Big One - A Review of Case Studies on Multi - Agency D isa s- ter Response and a Research Agenda

Disaster response operations exceed the capacities of each single organization and thus require cooperation by at least two, often up to some hundred agencies who do seldom interact in their daily operations. The result is a complex problem of cognition, coordination, command and control. This paper presents a review of empirical studies on multi-agency coordination in disaster response operati...

The Process Enactment Tool Framework - Transformation of software process models to prepare enactment

Rich development process models contain information about structures for project organization and also for concrete outcomes of a project. However, rich processes are hard to implement. They often contain hundreds of pages of documentation. Development teams tend to be sceptical about rich processes in fear of additional effort, risking the benefits of rich tool support for enactment. Process e...

The enactment of three new labour laws in China: Unintended consequences and the emergence of ‘new’ actors in employment relations

This paper critically analyses the background and impacts of the promulgation of three new labour laws in China in 2008. Drawing on qualitative data collected from interviews with various actors, the paper illustrates how the enactment of these laws has led to the emergence of new actors in the labour market and employment relations. Whilst not all these actors are new, or equally influential, ...

Is Moving More Memorable than Proving? Effects of Embodiment and Imagined Enactment on Verb Memory

Theories of embodied cognition propose that sensorimotor information is simulated during language processing (e.g., Barsalou, 1999). Previous studies have demonstrated that differences in simulation can have implications for word processing; for instance, lexical processing is facilitated for verbs that have relatively more embodied meanings (e.g., Sidhu et al., 2014). Here we examined the effe...
